Athletic Scholarships

Athletics are active on ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ's main campus. Go Bulldogs!

Outstanding athletic ability is rewarded at ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ through a range of scholarships. Most are awarded in the way of tuition scholarships, but some also include room, board and/or books.

If you’re interested in applying for these awards, you are encouraged to schedule a campus visit in order to meet with a coach. Visits may be arranged by contacting the Admissions and Recruitment Office at  580.774.3782; admissions@swosu.edu, or by contacting the appropriate sport's coach in the .

Student athletic scholarships are awarded to ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ athletes by their coaches in compliance with the policies and procedures of the University and the NCAA. Each team is assigned a scholarship limit by the NCAA based on the total number of full grant-in-aid awards the sport is allowed to offer during the academic year. The head coach decides how to distribute the funds among the student athletes.

Please Note:

Competition for athletic scholarships is fierce. The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) estimates that there are more than 8 million high-school student athletes in the U.S. Of those, less than half a million go on to play at an NCAA school. All of those athletes are vying for a scholarship.
